At the time I hired him, Lukas was an associate with Smith, Paulson, O'Donnell and Erikson. His bio said he was knowledgeable in Landlord/Tenant law.
At first, I thought we were doing fairly well in defending me against the things Brian was filing. Then we showed up to a hearing and the judge asked him to explain why we were there. He looked like a deer caught in headlights and couldn't give a good answer. He even asked for time to look up information.
The judge was not impressed. Neither was I.
After that hearing, he ghosted me and refused to respond to me, essemtially abandoning me and my case.
Patrick is a partner in the law firm. I went to him about what Lukas did in hopes of getting some help and accountability.
What I got, instead, was a request for $15,000 as a retainer for him to continue the work.
I had already paid Lukas for work that went nowhere. I didn't have that kind of money for him.
I don't know why Lukas is no longer working with this law firm. I am only stating my experience with him at the time I engaged with him.
